Mock exam paper

Dear Chinese language teachers:

Hope you all have a good start at school!

Mock exam papers are being prepared by a group of experienced teachers from the Northland to the Southland organized by NZCLTA. It is worthy to remind here that schools and teachers are not allowed to use a full set of old exam papers for the mock exam.

All the Reading papers include Resource Booklet, exam Question Papers and Schedule while all the Listening papers include audio Transcript, exam Question Papers and Schedule. The schedules could be adjusted by teachers according to the answers from their students. Hope this team work would not only relieve the pressure of each individual teacher but also secure the quality of the exam papers.

These exam papers include Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3, 6 standards. The price of each standard is $40 for NZCLTA members and $60 for non-members (the whole set price is $ 240 for NZCLTA members, and $360 for non-members). Part of the fee is to cover the cost for the preparation of the exam papers and audio recording, and part of the fee will be used to support the Chinese teacher communities around New Zealand.

To value the hard work of all people involved and to respect those teachers who have paid for the exam papers, a kind reminder here to all those teachers who are to purchase the exam papers, please keep the exam papers to your own use.

In addition, these papers are for the use of Mock Exam (Derived Grade Exam), so please don’t use them for classroom practice. Under certain circumstance, the grade for Mock Exam will be approved by NZQA as the derived grade.

Last but not the least, we encourage teachers to join NZCLTA or renew your membership subscription. The annual membership fee is $50 per teacher. As a member, you will enjoy free workshops and discounted price to purchase the mock exam papers. You can pay the fee for membership and the mock exam paper altogether.

Step 3: After we successfully receive both your order form and your payment, we will send you a confirmation email. E-copies of exam papers and links to download audio files for listening standards will be sent to you once they are completed.

Please note we will no longer provide you with hard copy of the exam papers and CD.
